About Fair Chance
How can you address the immense range of problems facing DC children and youth living in poverty? One person, one organization can't do it effectively. Or can they?

Founded in 2002, Fair Chance provides capacity building services to promising, community-based, youth-serving organizations in communities of greatest need. By the end of 2010, Fair Chance will have helped more than 50 DC organizations do what they do better, do more of it, and be around for a long time. Fair Chance partners currently serve more than 40,000 low income children, youth, and families.

Thanks to Fair Chance, our "partner" organizations report that on average they have;
DOUBLED the size of their programs and
TRIPLED their fundraising.

Fair Chance provides more than 350 hours of support free of charge. Working with executive directors and boards, Fair Chance builds-up each organization to take on the specific challenge they are addressing while continuing to grow and flourish.

Fair Chance focuses on eight fundamental service areas critical for successful nonprofit organizations: Financial Management & Analysis, Fundraising, Board Development, Program Evaluation & Monitoring, Outreach & Communications, Leadership Development, Strategic Planning, and Human Resources & Accountability.

If you want a challenge. If you are willing to be part of a smart, highly effective team. If you want to help not just one but 50 organizations focused on everything from literacy and college access to childhood obesity, from HIV/AIDS to mentoring and youth leadership, then you're the person we are looking for.
