Fair Chance is pleased to welcome Maria T. Nagorski as our new Executive Director. Maria is a great addition to the team, bringing the right blend of organizational leadership and capacity building know-how to Fair Chance. Maria is well-positioned to lead and build Fair Chance with 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and training at local, national and international organizations.

The FCBA Foundation Charity Auction to Benefit Kid Power-DC
Washington, D.C. - The Young Lawyers Committee of the Federal Communications Bar Association ("FCBA") and the FCBA Foundation will hold the 18th Annual Charity Auction on Thursday, November 15, 2007, at the Marriott at Metro Center, 775 12th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
Interstages was chosen as a featured charity in this year's 2006-07 Catalogue for Philanthropy-Greater DC. Read more about their innovative program and see their Catalogue page.
Urban Alliance Foundation and Interstages were featured on TouchDC as exceptional small nonprofits.
On February 19, Free Minds Book Club and Writing Workshop was interviewed and their programs filmed as a part of a feature on incarceration in America and the innovative programs that reach these populations on CNN's popular show, Anderson Cooper 360.
Dr. Satira Streeter, Executive Director of Ascensions Community Services, Inc. was asked to speak in February of this year to the Northern Virginia Urban League Young Professionals Network on the topic of healthy marriage and relationships.
