One World Education Receives Recognition on WUSA 9 News

Earlier this month, One World Education was highlighted on the WUSA 9 evening news. One World Education (OWEd), a first-year Fair Chance partner, was founded by Eric Goldstein, a former teacher at SEED Charter School is S.E. Washington DC. OWEd began in 2007 with the idea of using students' reflective writings from international and local programs as the foundation for a classroom curriculum. The mission of OWEd is to promote global awareness, literacy, and meaningful citizenship with educational resources that give voice to youth perspectives on culture and global issues. One World Education accomplishes its goals through two signature programs – school program and community program. In 2009, One World Education introduced and piloted its School Program into six Washington, DC metro area schools.
