Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for providing leadership, management, planning and enhancement of Fair Chance’s internal organizational systems and infrastructure allowing Fair Chance to fulfill our mission and scale our impact. This position works as a part of an Executive Team and directly supervises a Finance and Office Manager, several consultants and service providers, and serves as the point person and lead negotiator for all Fair Chance agreements and organizational operations. In addition, the COO serves as the point on human resources, sustainer of Fair Chance’s organizational culture and values, and the lead on Fair Chance’s racial equity task force. As the senior leadership team member responsible for finance in collaboration with an outsourced accounting firm, the COO will manage a $3M budget and direct financial planning and forecasting. This dynamic leader will display excellent emotional intelligence and have senior level experience that includes a strong understanding of accounting practices, financial planning, scaling organizations, and human resources (with diversity, equity, and inclusion). This will be an executive who takes pleasure in being a “hands-on” manager of an organization during a period of transition and growth and in building his/her own operations shop. Salary range:  $100,000 – $120,000

Chief Advancement Officer

The Chief Advancement Officer is a newly created executive position responsible for external relations strategy, fundraising, special events, and communications activities. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build Fair Chance’s visibility, impact, and financial resources leveraging board members in the process. She or he will expand and diversify Fair Chance’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with other team members to secure funding for new initiatives including geographic expansion. In addition, this position will engage in leveraging various communication channels and building relationships with key policy makers and community leaders to build awareness of issues related to the nonprofit sector, challenges for small nonprofits, and the Fair Chance solution. This position works as a part of an Executive Team and directly supervises a Director of Institutional Giving and Senior Development Officer, a Communications and External Relationships Manager, a Development and Communications Associate, several consultants, and eventually a Major Gifts Officer. The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience in leading and coaching staff, developing and being accountable for comprehensive plans and outcomes, growing organization revenues, a desire to be a part of a dynamic, growing organization, and will view advancement as an avenue for engaging and educating stakeholders in ways that promote change at the systemic level. Program Manager, Prince George’s County

The Program Manager is a capacity building professional and the team leader responsible for overseeing the implementation of our work in Prince George’s County, MD. This program is delivered in partnership with Venture Philanthropy Partners (VPP), through a grant from the County Council. The Program Manager trains and directly supervises 3-5 Capacity Building Specialists and a Program Associate. The successful candidate will serve as a mentor and model of Fair Chance’s values through building trusting, respectful and reciprocal relationships with community-based nonprofit leaders and staff. The Program Manager leads the process for selecting nonprofits into the cohorts, meets regularly with VPP staff on contract deliverables, ensures attainment of milestones and program goals, and interfaces with community leaders in the County. Full-Time Capacity Building Specialist, Prince George’s County

The full-time Capacity Building Specialist provides direct support in the implementation of our program in Prince George’s County, by working extensively with the executive directors, boards, and staff of three community-based nonprofits to build their capacity to serve more children and youth. The successful candidate will serve as a coach and builds trust, respect and reciprocal relationships with nonprofit leaders. Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000

Part-Time Capacity Building Specialist, Prince George’s County

The Capacity Building Specialist provides direct support in the implementation of our program in Prince George’s County, by working extensively with the executive directors, boards, and staff of one or two community-based nonprofits to build their capacity to serve more children and youth. The successful candidate will serve as a coach and builds trust, respect and reciprocal relationships with nonprofit leaders. Salary Range: $2,700 – $3,500 per month, depending on experience and weekly workload.
